My Background

My name is Curtis, my background and history comes from a Windows environment all them years ago until I finally got into Linux. Having about 13 years using Linux I started to get into scripting and eventually programming with PHP followed by Perl and Bash Scripting and lately some Python.

In the last few years ive been heavily Devops focused with wonderful new tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, AWS and much more, while also saying I prefer Python an Go as languages going forward.

Devops for me started when I liked the early best of both worlds. I didn’t have the courage to go full time into a programming job (I hear that people say you will never feel comfortable until you just take a jump) but also I still loved ops and automation.

As Devops has evolved the things that became apparent was how Devops enables you to work closely with energetic and enthusiastic people who feel the same drive as you do with technology, while also thinking with a better way of working and the love of working with different minds on a daily basis

Reason for the website.

I don’t class myself as a blogger. I try and look at this as my own online notes, instead of going back to someone else’s website to look at a snippet of code or a recap on tech, I can keep it all here. Also the bonus being people might come past here and be able to get something out of it and ive always wanted to give back to the community somehow in my own way.
I think the other reason for me making a website is that it makes you a better tech when you have to explain in detail in your own words to someone how something works and that often leads you to think oh wait im still not sure about certain areas so I need to go back to research.
